Abstract
The study aims to identify the role of practical lectures in developing the physical fitness components of students in the College of Physical Education. The researchers adopted an experimental approach with a single-group design for their study. The research sample was intentionally selected from first-year students at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, University of Jafara. The sample size was (30) students.
The results showed that the exercises and activities of the practical lectures led to the development of some physical fitness components for students, albeit to varying degrees for the selected components under study. The exercises used in the practical lectures had a positive impact on the development of some physical fitness components, such as the speed-specific strength of the leg muscles, abdominal muscle strength, respiratory endurance, flexibility, and agility.
